Teichert on the Trail

Happy New Year! Welcome to Teichert on the Trail, our weekly email highlighting the latest news and events from the campaign as retired Air Force Brigadier General John Teichert earns the hearts, minds, and votes of Marylanders in the race to be their next U.S. Senator.

On Thursday, January 4th, John joined Andrew Wilkow on Wilkow! to discuss one of the largest issues facing Americans today: the open southern border. John addressed the importance of addressing real problems with real solutions by saying in part, “There are real problems in this country; the border is a huge one of those. Americans are expecting their leaders to address those real problems with real solutions. You look at the border, and it’s a multifaceted crisis – a national security crisis, a public health crisis, a public safety crisis, and a humanitarian crisis –  because this administration is failing to do the basics, which is maintaining our nation’s sovereignty by sealing the border.”

General Teichert recently joined Patrick Conley on More Than A Conversation podcast to discuss his extensive career as a retired Air Force Brigadier General, his bid for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, and solutions for the current turmoil and lack of leadership in Washington D.C.

“Innovation doesn’t flow from the top down; it flows from the bottom up,” John stated. “One of the ways that I define innovation is this idea of creating a culture or climate where every single member of the organization knows that if they have an idea, someone senior enough to make a decision will listen, consider, and act appropriately.”

John joined Jimmy Failla on Fox Across America last week to discuss his journey on the campaign trail, top running issues, and top issues plaguing America. “Just like I did for 33 years serving our country in the United States Military and the United States Air Force, I’m doing this to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. We should be appalled at how far we have drifted from our foundational principles. We need people to bring us back in a revival of those principles — and I’m doing it not because I want to hear my name as U.S. Senator but because we need to return back to a foundation that is incredible based on those founding principles that we have enjoyed for so long in this country.”

General Teichert joined Cats & Cosby once again to discuss the Houthi attack on U.S. shipping in the Red Sea. Teichert said of the situation: “It’s embarrassing that we keep allowing the Houthis, backed by Iran, to attack a variety of interests in the shipping canal that supplies about 12% of global commerce that travels through the Red Sea – and all we’re doing is playing defense. We are not doing anything to take the fight to the Houthis, who are lobbing missiles, 100 or so in the last five weeks, and we’re doing nothing to demonstrate our will or capability against Iran. And again, they are having their will and their way with us, and all we are doing is playing a little bit of defense.”

On Wednesday January 3rd, General Teichert began the one-year countdown until he can finally represent Marylanders and bring leadership to Washington! Here is his message to the voters of Maryland with one year to election day. Watch the full video here.

On Sunday, December 31st, John Teichert shared his plans to bring productive and sufficient leadership, not politics, to Marylanders and to Americans across the country in 2024. Watch his full message here.
