BALTIMORE, Md. – With endorsements pouring in from state senators, delegates, and more, retired Brigadier General John Teichert is now adding law enforcement leaders to the list with Talbot County Sheriff Joe Gamble’s support.
Gamble has served in his capacity as Sheriff of Talbot County since 2014 and he’s also selflessly served in law enforcement for more than 30 years.
“In the face of exponentially increasing crime rates in Maryland, we need a leader who is accountable and understands the critical importance of law and order,” Gamble said in his endorsement. “General John Teichert’s distinguished military service and proven track record in leading with integrity make him the right choice for the U.S. Senate. As Sheriff of Talbot County and retired Maryland State Trooper and Commander, I wholeheartedly endorse General Teichert, confident that his commitment to public safety will be unwavering. Let’s support a strong leader who prioritizes the security of our communities and works tirelessly to address the challenges those of us in law enforcement face. General Teichert is the advocate we need for a safer, more secure Maryland.”
In response to the endorsement from Sheriff Gamble, General Teichert said the following: “I’m honored to have the support of Sheriff Joe Gamble as I seek to bring leadership, not politics to Washington as Maryland’s next U.S. Senator. Crime has been a serious issue in Maryland and our political leaders are failing our communities. We need to support law enforcement to do their jobs, ensure our communities are safe, and work to dissuade our youth from a life of crime.”
This endorsement is yet another benchmark in the strength Teichert is amassing in his bid for the U.S. Senate. As he continues to travel around the state talking with voters about the issues most important to their families and communities, Teichert’s endorsements and policy positions remind Marylanders why he should be their new leader in the Senate.
