BALTIMORE, Md. – In case you missed it, retired Brigadier General John Teichert was the keynote speaker at the Wreaths Across America event on Saturday, December 16th at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
Captivating thousands of volunteers who were gathered to recognize America’s fallen heroes this holiday season, the U.S. Senate candidate shared with the crowd three important sentiments regarding this powerful event: “remember, honor, and teach.”
“As you go about your duty here on this hallowed ground; as you remember and you honor and you teach, use this time to redouble your dedication to carrying on their unfinished work – the noble calling that they served – that we are here to follow up on their amazing legacy,” Teichert told the crowd. “It’s a joy and a thrill for me to be here as a veteran, as a candidate for United States Senate, and as a proud American, as we collectively serve together with one another to remember, and to honor, and to teach. ”

Wreaths Across America is a nationwide mission, placing wreaths at fallen soldiers headstones each Christmas season. In 2023, the program laid over 3 million wreaths at cemeteries across the United States and around the world.
